Art And New Fashion & Textiles Programme
With our school motto “Align with Culture and Art”, Yew Wah International Education School puts great emphasis on art education. For those students talented in art and wishing to pursue further study in overseas art schools, Yew Wah provides enriched programmes and abundant resources to improve their academic performance as well as artistic competence, and to help them apply to the top art schools around the world. Over the years, Yew Wah graduates were successfully admitted to many top art schools such as Parsons School of Design, Rhode Island School of Design, School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Savannah College of Art and Design, University of the Arts London, etc.
Fashion & Textiles (New Programme in 2019-2020)
To fully enhance and upgrade our Creative Arts Programme, YWIES Shanghai Gubei will launch the Fashion & Textile Programme and will invite Mr David Leung, a world-renowned designer, a creative force of Versace and Adjunct Professor at Parsons School of Design to be the Director of Fashion Design. This programme will be included as a subject in the A Level Curriculum.
David is a world-renowned designer, creative director, professor at top design schools and a coach of professional fashion portfolio. He has over 30 years of extensive experience in the fashion industry with assignments in Milan, Paris and New York City. As an all-rounded professional in the fashion industry, David will lead Yew Wah students to go through the self-discovering journey and reach a bright future in the programme of Fashion & Textile.
Design and Technology
The course of Design and Technology will also be extended from IGCSE to A Level Section, allowing students to further develop their interests and skills in this subject.
YWIES Shanghai’s Art Department will be expanded and renovated to create a fashion studio, an exhibition area and artistic learning spaces.
