    YWIES Shanghai offers a four-year Overseas University Preparatory Programme (OUPP), consisting of a two-year International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and a two-year University Preparation (A Level).

    • International Recognition

      The IGCSE and A Level certificates are issued by the Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) and are widely recognised in the world. YWIES Shanghai has created an authentic international atmosphere and learning environment in mainland China, which facilitates graduates to pursue further studies at top overseas universities.

    • IGCSE

      Cambridge IGCSE provides a study programme across a wide range of subject areas. Within the curriculum there is a balanced mix of practical experience and theoretical knowledge. Students graduating from IGCSE can continue to study the A Level programme at YWIES Shanghai.

    • A Level

      A Level is based on the General Certificate of Education Advanced Level Programme issued by the Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE). English is the key medium of instruction. It offers various choices of courses. Students are able to choose the most suitable courses according to their own career planning, interests and specialties. As an internationally recognised curriculum and examination, A Level assists students to get fully prepared for their further studies at top overseas universities.

    • Broad Selection of Electives

      At YWIES Shanghai, students can choose subjects that help prepare them for university studies in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Computer Studies, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, Architecture, Art & Design, Music and others.

    Notes:

    1. Students must choose four of the above elective courses, including at least one science course.
    2. Students can either choose one or two courses from Physics, Chemistry and Biology or they can choose Coordinated Sciences, which is equivalent to two elective courses.
